2020 Winner, A+Award, Best New Cultural Architecture

NigerHeritage’s innovative museum plans win international recognition.

Architectural plans for an innovative museum, the Musée du Fleuve (Museum of the River) designed by Stantec, to house Niger’s fossil treasures won an international contest judged by architects as the “Best New Cultural Architecture” of 2020. To be located on an island in the middle of the Niger River, the new facility will be a major national attraction and rank as the first energy-positive museum in the world.
